The best memories of many “older” skiers date back to the eighties and nineties, when practically everybody wore fluorescent colours on the slopes around the world. The brighter, the better and any colour combination was permitted, as long as everybody saw you putted a bit of effort in your outfit. This was also the periode where skiers actually started to wear something practical. Snowsuits are as big as ever, but they’ve got to be as bright as the sun.
A famous and well-known brand in the eighties and nineties ski fashion is ELHO Freestyle Skiwear. This German company ruled the 80s and early 90s with their fluro garments. Their brand ambassador were famous ballet skiers like George Fuehrmeier and Richard Schabl, who is supposed to be the the ultimate world champ. During his successful career as a freestyle skier, he invented the one handed pole flip and created many maneuvers that have revolutionized Freestyle Skiing.
