This auction is for a beautiful large vintage blue & white porcelain ceramic lidded ginger jar. The bottom of the jar has a maker’s mark as well as a label attached to it. The maker’s mark appears to read 650 VB OUD DELFT B. The label reads MADE IN HOLLAND. The jar is decorated with flowers, birds, and decorative borders. We are unsure of the jar’s exact age but believe that it is vintage. The jar was made by Oud Delft (Old Delft) Pottery in Holland. It is fairly large measuring roughly 15 1/2” in height and roughly 7 1/2“ in diameter at its widest. The jar weighs roughly 3 ls 11 oz. The tip of the jar’s lid finial has a small chip in it (see pictures). The rest of the jar appears to be free of any chips, cracks, or repairs. The jar does have aging, scratches, dirty and/or dusty areas, and manufacturing imperfections.
