Here is a RARE and historic book entitled, “The Stock Exchange in Caricature.” This is a FIRST EDITION/LIMITED EDITION, complete 2-volume set published in 1904 by Abram Stone, New York.  The copyright page reads as follows (see photos):
“Of this publication there have been printed one hundred and seventy-seven copies of which this is Copy No. 23.”
The title page reads as follows (see photos):
“A private collection of caricatures, cartoons and character sketches of members of the New York Stock Exchange, humorously portraying their fads and foibles, and conveying the jovial spirit and good fellowship underlying the serious side of everyday life “on change.”

Each hardcover volume measures 10” x 13” x 1 1/2”. Both volumes have been printed on unique two-sided high quality paper. ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS ARTWORK! A page has been dedicated to the facsimile signatures of the artists as well as the facsimile signatures of the committee members-see photos.
CONDITION: Overall, both volumes have been remarkably well-preserved, but they are not perfect! You will note some spine end wear as well as DEFINITE fading to the titling on the spine. The nice titling and design on the front boards are in very good condition but you will note some minor scratches and scuffing to the boards as well as some corner bumping. Bindings are tight on both. Internal pages are clean BUT you will note that the illustrations have faintly “imprinted” themselves onto the opposite page, which is a normal occurrence.
