    From 2003, the two-volume Russian-language edition of space scientist Vladimir Syromyatnikov's memoirs, covering his years working for the Soviet and Russian space programs. Syromyatnikov is best-known for this designs of docking mechanisms; his system linked Soviet and American space capsules in the Apollo-Soyuz test flight. He also worked on the Mir space station and helped design the Vostok, the world's first manned spacecraft.

    and inscribed by the author to an American colleague, in English, dated in the year of publication.
    The books show a little wear to the covers, including some bumping to the edges. The bindings are a bit soft but still holding well. The texts are in fine shape.
