    Description

Esther Mumford was Seattle's premier historian of the city's Black community. These 1st edition books - Seattle's Black Victorians 1852-1901"  (1980) and "Seven Stars & Orion," (1986) are two of the most thorough researches into this rich Black history.
Additionally, I'm including another book, a presentation copy from Mayor Norman Rice of "Tribute: Seattle Public Places Named fir Black People" (1997, with Norm Rice's gilt embossed "compliments" note inserted.
