These jars are in fantastic shape. No damage is evident.
It is not your imagination - one of these jars is a tiny bit larger than the other.
Smaller jar:
2 3/8” Diameter
3 1/4” Tall
Larger jar:
2 5/8” Diameter
3 3/8” Tall
I believe that they are Japanese, but they may be Chinese. They are extremely high quality, and the decoration appears to be hand applied. Since the decoration is on one side of the jars, I do not believe that they are older than the 1940s. See the photos for details and condition.
