Oversized 17 Inch Asian Temple Jar

Description

Asian lidded temple jar featuring cranes and birds-of-paradise among cherry trees and chrysanthemums with guilt borders.  The base and neck have what appears to be stenciled/applied pattern that is filled in by hand.  Bright colors, miss-sized lid, and generous gold use makes this an unusual and probably decorative  jar.
Stands about 17 inches high with lid and 12 without.  The base is around 6 1/2 inches across with a 4 1/2 inch mouth.  The shoulders are between 8-9 inches.
All issues appear to be from production and are shown in pics. The birds-of-paradise and surrounding foliage seem to have been hand painted at the decorator's discretion and are underglaze so the paucity of details were intentional.
No chips, cracks, craze, age, or repairs.
