Mider Vintage Chinese 7.75” Carved Wood Walnut Shell Vase Intricate Ornate Asian

This is an interesting vase that is fascinating to look at.  It is 7.75” tall and 4” at the widest point.  The bottom is signed Mider along with a couple of Chinese characters.  One side of the vase has a bubbly Chinese symbol carved into it and the other side has wood pieces that could be a mountain or sun rays.  I couldn’t figure out how they carved all the intricate shapes, but then I realized they are actually cut walnut shells!  It looks like they are carved out of the vase because they put a layer of black paint or lacquer around the shells.
The condition is definitely used.  The bottom has a bunch of scratches and losses to the finish.  Both the front and back have missing sections of the finish in the area below the walnuts. The rims also have plenty of smaller finish losses and other nicks and dents.  There are some chips to the walnut shells, but they are hard to find because the design is so intricate.
