    OLD STONEWARE GINGER JAR
    Lovely old molded stoneware pottery ginger jar and lid measuring about 9-1/2" tall and 26" in circumference. Featuring a simple bulbous shape with a rolled shoulder, narrow collar and matching lid, it is beautifully decorated in hand applied cobalt blue stencil designs around the body of the piece - pattern name is Double Happiness. The area around the upright collar has been left unglazed - the interior is glazed - the underside bears a faint red chop mark.
    Condition is very nice with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs, discoloration or damage -- a few tiny production flaws on the top edge side. Hoping someone will love it as I have - a large and striking piece - nice addition to any collection or display!  Please note -- color is toning slightly bright in my images.
