    Description

Journal 105th Engineer Combat Battalion, 30th Infantry Division, European Theatre of Operations, 1944-1945.
This journal document has been reproduced by Mr. Leland Cofer and has been single spaced, typos corrected and minor changes in punctuation.
This document was produced by Mr. Leland Cofer (Captain) in 1995, who experienced the campaign. The original copy of this wartime
Journal of the 105th Engineer Combat Battalion
was discovered in May,1979 gathering dust in the basement of the
Historical Division, US Army Corps of Engineers, where it had lain for 33 years.
This long-misplaced Journal recounts, day-by-day for the most part, the final training in England and then the adventures and accomplishments
in battle of one such band of engineers--those of the 105th Combat Engineer Battalion of the 30th Infantry Division.
It is a unique accounting, and the Corps of Engineers is proud to publish it as a testament to the skill and courage of all American combat
engineers who served in all theatres during that war. This journal contains 16 chapters and 5 appendices. There are no marks or writings in this
    document.
This journal is in good condition.
