Scarce issue of this play by John Osborne (1929-1994), the famed English playwright, screenwriter and actor, known for his excoriating prose and intense critical stance towards established social and political norms whose success with this 1956 play transformed English theatre and served as the basis for the 1959 film
which was adapted for the screen from Osborne's play by Nigel Kneale, and starred Richard Burton, Claire Bloom, Mary Ure, et al. Bound in the publisher's rust brown cloth covered boards. Contents a trifle toned.

, which is price-clipped and a bit rubbed and edgeworn, with some mild toning along the edges and two vintage tape reinforcements to the recto and verso.
