    Remarkably uncommon first edition of this study of the life and influence of Li Dazhao or Li Ta-chao (1889–1927), the noted Chinese intellectual who participated in the New Cultural Movement in the early years of the Republic of China, established in 1912 and co-founded the Communist Party of China (CPC) with Chen Duxiu in July 1921; helping to build a united front between the CPC and Sun Yat-sen's Nationalist Party in early 1924
