    Very rare book of just 1000 copies  "Domestic Architecture of HT Lindberg"; published in 1940. First Edition and signed. (see photo) by Lindberg to the Whites a very prominent New Canaan Ct. family.  A massive book it is filled with some of the most beautiful color and black and white plates and photos of residences and buildings of the last century. Lindberg, a man of rare talent had a circle of clients that were the who's who of his time. He went on to build several important buildings including the United States Consulate and several more..and was also a designer of bronze doors and custom furnishings. His clients included Astor's, Vanderbilt's, Doubleday's, Duponts, Macy's, Pillsbury's, A.W. Rossiter, Bertrand Taylor, McCalls Magazine, Millneck R.R. Station, LI, Onwentsia Country Club, Lake Forest, Ill., Royal Typewriter, Hartford, Ct., Wesleyan University,Middletown, Ct. and many, many more.   There are so many beautiful homes..it was hard to choose with such limited photo space. Book is in very good condition. The hardbound red cover has some fade and small a bit of rub wear to one corner. No pages are missing and all are clean and clear with no tears. Binding is holding up but not extremely tight, nor is it extremely loose. Large, impressive and beautiful to behold, the book weighs over 9 pounds ! Book will come insured Media Mail.
