Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood - Pint Beer Glass
Condition:
GUC - No chipping or cracking; no missing paint or fading of logo. There are a lot of fine scratches inside the glass that it took a long time for me to discover after buying it. I believe the previous owner used a mini-blender with a serrated metal wheel tip designed to blend ice inside the glass.
I never saw any scratches until I started taking photos for the listing. I found a single scratch near the opening (photo #6) one night while holding the glass up to the ceiling light--trying to eliminate as many reflections as possible before taking a photo.
I looked to see if there were more scratches, and at first, I found none. I was still having trouble with reflections on the glass in my photos, so I stood a lantern flashlight on end and put the beer glass on top of the flashlight lens so the beam would shine up through the bottom of the glass and eliminate shadows and reflections from the shot. That was when I finally saw all of the other scratches. (photos #6-7) They look really bad in the photos, but even after finding the scratches, I had a hard time getting them to show up on photos. It took the light hitting the glass at just the right angle to create a haze over the surface, which enabled the camera to focus at the right depth to catch the scratches.
