Chinese Longshan Black Clay Pottery Vase 6" Pierced Shandong Neolithic Style

Description

Beautiful Chinese Black Pottery Vase, hand crafted circa 1970.      Unglazed black pottery.  Reticulated (perforated / pierced) decoration (i.e., the decoration around the middle is not solid and instead includes some cut out or pierced areas).  Impressed Chinese pottery markings on bottom of the piece. This style of pottery originated in the Neolithic era in the Longshan region of Shandong China.
Measures 6" high x 2.25" top diameter x 2" base diameter
Vase is in Excellent condition - no chips, cracks or scratches.  The box was built to hold 2 vases, but the other vase is absent.  Box has some age wear and blemishes and hinge is a little loose.
