1) Rare Book from 1578 by Cornelis Jansenius Gandensis. First Bishop of Ghent.
Cornelii Jansenii episcopi Gandavensis Homiliae in evangelia, quae dominicis diebus in ecclesia populo flea proponi solent ...Lugduni, apud Carolum Pesnot, 1578 - parchment, title handwritten on spine - 785 pp + tabula - 16.5 x 11 x 5 cm.
In good condition. Complete, compact and solid. Interior slightly stained at times. Title page with woodcut printer's vignette. Some contemp. annot. on endpaper and title page.
Cornelius Jansenius (Hulst, 1510 – Ghent, April 13, 1576), born as Cornelis Jansen, was a well-known theologian; he was the first bishop of the diocese of Ghent. He should not be confused with Cornelius Jansenius, bishop of Ypres, whose writings gave rise to Jansenism. He is therefore also referred to as Cornelius Jansenius sr., Cornelius Jansenius Hulstensis or Cornelis Jansenius Gandensis.

In fair condition. Solid, firm , complete. Silver can be polished better.
